Joint review potential outcomes
At the conclusion of the joint review, the Graduate Faculty Exective Committee (GFEC) can choose to recommend to the Provost that the program either be continued or discontinued. If it is recommended that the program continue, the GFEC may also provide recommendations to address certain concerns.
If the GFEC recommendation is to continue the program, then the recommendation is forwarded to the Provost for consideration by UAPC. If the GFEC recommendation is to discontinue the program, then that recommendation is forwarded to the provost for consideration by UAPC, similar to other program discontinuations.
The final decision for program continuation is made by the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, UW System Administration.
