Graduate Program Review
The process of periodic program review is intended to ensure that standards of excellence are maintained in UW-Madison's graduate programs. Periodic review provides a mechanism through which the Graduate School can provide advice for improvement and recognize examples of quality and effectiveness. The process also provides the context for continuous self-assessment and improvement within programs.
Graduate program review is a collaborative effort between the program, the Graduate School, and the Graduate Faculty Executive Committee (GFEC). It typically happens within the context of an overall program review that also involves the school/college home of the program, the UW-Madison Office of Academic Planning and Analysis, the UW-System Office of Academic and Student Services, and outside accrediting agencies if appropriate.
