Assistantships
The University of Wisconsin-Madison offers a large number of research, project and teaching assistantships to its graduate students. They are a central source of funding for graduate study. Graduate assistants receive tuition remission, so long as they hold at least a 33% appointment. Rates are determined by negotiations between the State of Wisconsin and the Teaching Assistant Association (TAA). For available assistantships, check with your department or the Student Job Center.
