University Fellowships
University fellowships are awarded through the Graduate School. Students are nominated for these highly competitive awards by their respective departments. They are awarded based on demonstration of superior academic achievement, letters of recommendation, GRE scores, and an effective statement of purpose/reasons for graduate study. Currently, the Social Studies, Arts & Humanities, and Physical Sciences committees offer fellowships through this competition. The stipend rate and length vary based upon the division from which the offer is received.
All students receiving a University Fellowship will receive a stipend,
paid tuition
and fees during the fellowship tenure, and eligibility for health
insurance. In addition, incoming University fellows will receive
a $600 welcome check.
