MentorNet
Founded in 1997, MentorNet is an e-mentoring network to promote the success of those in math, engineering, and science, particularly but not exclusively women and other underrepresented groups. The Industry E-Mentoring Program is for students interested in working in industry or at a government laboratory or agency, while the Academic Career E-Mentoring Program is for graduate students, postdocs and untenured faculty pursuing faculty careers. In addition to one- on-one mentoring, MentorNet also offers: (a) Web-based discussion groups on topics such as work/life balance and job searching; (b) resources for and about mentoring, diversity, and women in engineering and science; and (c) a resume database for students seeking jobs or internships.
