Review of potential conflicts of interest
UW-Madison's Financial Conflicts of Interest in Human Subjects Research: Policies and Procedures require that:
- Human subjects researchers report outside activities
- Human subjects researchers update Outside Activities Reports when their situations change
- The Conflict of Interest (COI) Committee review these activities annually
- IRBs consider potential conflicts of interest when reviewing protocols
Individuals with significant financial interests related to their work at the UW-Madison may be issued standard management plans.
