Program Description
The Burroughs Wellcome Fund has announced a call for nominations for the Career Awards for Medical Scientists (CAMS) program. The program supports the physician scientist (M.D., D.V.M., D.D.S., Pharm. D., or equivalent clinical degree.) during the final one or two years of a mentored position and then allows the physician scientist to carry that support to an independent position. The awards provide $700,000 over five years. The University of Wisconsin has been invited to nominate up to five candidates for these awards. BWF encourages institutions to nominate underrepresented minorities and female candidates.
