Deadlines: E-mail notice to Graduate School of intent to apply, Wednesday, July 18, 2007; Applications due at NIH September 17, 2007
The National Center for Research Resources has isssued an RFA for the High-End Instrumentation (HEI) Program. This program is intended to make available to groups of NIH-supported investigators a single major research item of equipment to be used for biomedical research that costs more than $750,000 (maximum $2,000,000). UW–Madison may submit more than one application provided the applications are for different types of instrumentation. For this reason the Graduate School will review the equipment to ensure that there is no unintended duplication.
Inform the Graduate School of your intent to submit a proposal by Wednesday, July 18. Include the following information in your notice of intent: name and full contact information of the PI, names and departments of the intended users, brief description of the equipment, and intended use of the equipment. Email this information to gsgrants@bascom.wisc.edu with "NIH NCRR HI-END" in the subject line of your email message.
We will respond to the lead PI on each application to let him/her know whether or not there is any potential overlap with other intended applications.
If you have any questions about this procedure, email gsgrants@bascom.wisc.edu or call Jane Sherwood (263-7274) or Petra Schroeder (265-4868).
