Institutional Nominations and Internal Competitions

Sponsors may limit the number of applications that an institution may submit for a particular grant program. The Graduate School will coordinate these submissions for research opportunities by determining whether multiple candidates wish to apply and organizing an impartial review to select the most competitive proposal(s) to send forward to the funding agency. Coordination of opportunities that have narrow target research areas will be delegated to the School/College or Department involved in those areas.

  • Notification deadline: 1 September 2008
• NSF - Informal Science Education (ISE)
• Preliminary Proposals (required) due at NSF: 20 March 2008
• Full Proposals due at NSF: 19 June 2008

• NSF-Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship (IGERT) Program

  • Email notice of intent to submit proposal: Wednesday, February 13, 2008, noon

  Note: We request that any single department submit no more than one internal nomination for limited competitions offering individual fellowships or career awards.
